Just a Wonderful Halloween Weekend!

Our first Halloween with our dear little bat was a blast!  We had our dearest Chicago friends in for the weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better time.  The weather was beautiful, the Husker Win was amazing, and the catching up was long overdue.  We miss the Gerrard's and Wolski's dearly and spent the weekend laughing at past moments with the 6 of us while constantly making  new plans for times to look forward to together!

Nothing like a Husker Tailgate

The original Chicago Group all Together!!

After getting ready I walked into Cooper's room to find Esther reading to the kids.  What  great mommy she is.  And how adorable are they? I am not kidding at one point Cooper had his arm around Jayla!

Can't get over Cooper's face in this shot, look at those chubby cheeks! These two darlings were so cute together, although we were all amazed at how really disinterested in each other they actually were.  Just wait, I am sure that will change.  They will probably hate us one day for the bathtime pictures we have of them together ;)

We decided since we probably were not going to go Trick or Treating this year with Coop, we should have a little party to dress him up at and at least celebrate his first Halloween in some way.  So we invited some families over to celebrate with some Halloween treats, a fire on the patio out back, and all the kiddos dressed up in costumes!  It was the perfect Sunday afternoon.
A Cat and a Bat

A Cat and a Bat and a.........Husker Fan I guess?!  Nice Costume dad, not.

Just "Monkeying" around!  We tried to get the picture perfect shot of these 3 little cuties, but Monkey J kept attacking the Bat!

Jack the jack-o-lantern (8mo), Cooper the bat (6mo), and Jayla the Monkey (11mo)

Can you guess who belongs to who?

Thanks to Lindsey's amazing cupcake making skills, we pulled off these beautiful treats, and yes Esther the frosting really does look orange!

A Mid Halloween Party Nap.  Thanks for rocking me to sleep Aunt Kay!

All partied out

A Knight and a Fire Chief

Love to the Wolski's and Gerrard's, we had an amazing time this weekend and are so blessed to have you all as friends! Thanks for coming all the way to visit us in O-Town!  Until next time ;)

I can hardly believe it!

I can hardly believe, that is, that Cooper is old enough to have a bin of clothes he has grown out of already!  That's right, I packed up all his newborn, 0-3mo, and most of his 3-6mo clothes yesterday.  Wow! Can't believe how big he is getting..... Andy and I love to just sit and flip through my old pictures on my camera and see how little he used to be, just a teeny tiny guy.  He hardly looks like his baby pics anymore!

And just when we are thinking of finding a new home for Lucy, Cooper has started noticing her and watching her every move, and he seems quite amused!

(And yes, we are sadly thinking of giving Lucy up, she truly is a good cat so we want her to go to a good home, we just are more annoyed with her than we enjoy her.  Funny how your perspective on things change when you have a kid)

Trying out the new BundleMe, it never ceases to amaze me how many different "things" kids "need" these days to get by!

All bundled up in matching Nebraska hats for our morning walk!

Who's that good looking kid in there?

Month 5!

Despite our sad face here, my 5th month of life has been jam packed full of fun and family.  We got to go visit Uncle Bryan at the University of Dayton and see him play football, then the next weekend we were off to Florida with both sets of Grandparents, how lucky am I?  It was nonstop attention both weekends but no worries I never get tired of it!  Mom says I am pretty good on plane rides, and she even lets me "eat" during takeoff, which dad doesn't seem to always approve of and is always trying to throw blankets over my head to cover me and mom!  He's so funny.

Go Dayton Flyers!  It's freezing, as you can probably tell from this picture.

Quality Time with Aunt Heather

Blowing Spit Bubbles at Uncle Bryan (one of my favorite things to do these days)

It was great seeing where Bryan lived and his campus, it is a beautiful campus and Bryan even found us a Nebraska Alumni Restaurant to watch the NE game, way to go!  Awful game (that was the Wisconsin game), but fun time with the family nonetheless!

Waiting for the rain to stop to go swimming in Florida!

Watching the Husker game with Grandpa

Had to take a little snooze during halftime, man these football games are long!

Poolside

With my two favorite Grandmas

Coop LOVED swimming, was great at kicking and splashing

The girls enjoying their Bahama Mamas (notice how none of us are looking towards the camera, this was Andy's photo journalism at work)

Grandpa B. was there too, although somehow I didn't get a shot of him on either my camera or Iphone :(  Overall it was a very relaxing weekend, the boys got in a few rounds of golf, and the girls and Coop actually got to stay two extra days after the boys left.  We worked out, sat by the pool, shopped, and had one great dinner at an Irish Pub and the next night on the beach.  Thanks so much to Wayne and Suzi for hosting us at their beautiful condo.  Andy and I are so blessed to both have such fun, generous, and amazing parents, and God has given us such wonderful relationships with them.  And even better yet, who can say that both their parents are such best friends too and can go on a vacation with all 6 of you together!  We realize we have a rare but special situation and thank God daily for it.
